Without a doubt a classic Keego Italian eatery with consistent quality and friendly service. I love this place!! Gino, Marco and Rocco know the restaurant business very well and always aim to please. They are also very community oriented and often donate and help and host when needed. Love the antipasto salad and their pizza is to die for!! Did I mention how Tasty their minestrone soup is? Get over here and see for yourself why Ginos is the best!

Awesome pizza and peroni beer on tap. It can't get better. To keep things honest pizza is all I ever get here so it's all I can recommend. However, if you want pizza skip the chains and go here!

This is my daughter's and my favorite hometown sit-down pizza spot. Nice to have such a great restaurant in our neighborhood. Their breadsticks are delicious.

3.5 stars - I have been going to this place since I was a kid, but had not been back in over a decade. I decided to go back last week when my pregnant wife had a garlic bread craving. I was shocked and happy to see that nothing has really changed. They still have some of the best garlic bread in Detroit. It is not too greasy or salty, and the garlic flavor is spot on. The food is typical Italian restaurant fare. My standby is the gnocchi, but the pizza is also solid. There is also a nice bar area, and a patio with live music on the weekend. There are places like this in everyone neighborhood, so it may not be something you should go out of your way to try. However, if you find yourself in the area, I would encourage you to pop in for a solid Italian meal in a truly local joint.

This is a really nice little gem. The decor and furniture may be a little outdate but they have something that never goes out of style: great service and great food. Their breadsticks are pretty good, they are incredibly good if you order their garlic paste with the breadsticks. Their bruschetta is pretty good for appetizer and so is their Greek salad. LOTS of flavor. Their pizza is good but their Italian dishes is what they really do well. Their chicken Marsala is the best I've had in Michigan. Great flavor without being overpowering and not so much food you get too stuffed. The only dessert I've tried is their cannoli which I thought was quite good. Not crunchy hard just about the right texture. We have been here several times and we have had really good service every time.

Let's start with the positive. Breadsticks were very good. Service with a smile. The "house" dressing was good but don't think it was made in this "house". Spaghetti was awful. Would not go back

The service was great, and the food was terrific. It was very fast to get everything we wanted. If we had one down in Tennessee, I would gladly go to it more often.

I've been in and out of Keego Harbor, living all around the u.s , every time I land back in Keego or the surrounding area nothing beats gino's Pizza! It's always nice to see Gino, he always greets me and he's never forgot my name. Thanks Gino for being there for the last 45 years!!!

I'm not sure if we just came on a bad night, but after reading great reviews on the pizza, we had to try it. My boyfriend and I both thought it wasn't good. No flavor and soggy. The decor was awful. But the positive outcome was their free breadsticks- those were delicious! Sadly we won't be returning though.

Gino' is the old neighborhood place that is hard to find, So many restaurants now are cookie cutter chains. Gino's has a nice bar with TV's. I had the chicken parmigiana which was huge with a great tasty sauce. The pizza and salad is always the best.

Gino's is a local institution! Nothing beats a Ginos Pizza with a special salad and breadsticks. Gino also does an awful lot for the community and has employed hundreds of local kids throughout the years. You can also never go wrong with one of the daily specials, like Roccos chicken Rollotini. Great family, service and food.

Ok. I understand this place has been open forever, and people love to come here and meet up with old friends. But does that mean they have terrific homemade pasta and Italian food? Absolutely not. Pasta sauces are bland and most likely from canned ingredients. Is it edible? Yes. Portions are good. Atmosphere is very lack luster, and out dated. If your going to dine-in. Sit in the bar area, seems much cleaner That being said the pizza, breadsticks and salad are the way to go!!

Family owned/Family friendly: If you went to West Bloomfield High, than chances are you may have had a banquet or two at Gino's/Santia Hall. You remember the pasta dishes, the great pizza, and probably the best bread sticks around. Not much has changed. Gino's family approach to both the food and service is really where it's at. It's not uncommon to have Gino, Marco, or Rocco (I'm not making these up) visit your table for a personal greeting. Gino's is, and has always been, a favorite place for locals to attend but also draws a wide range of customers. The food varies from typical Italian-American fare to American classics. The pizza is always top notch and consistent and they have a decent fish'n'chips on any day, not just Friday. Try the steak some time, you will not be disappointed. I do feel that many of the dishes are a bit moderate to almost high priced. Portions are decent but not overwhelming. Service is consistent but never too high brow. You'll enjoy the meal better by not eating near or around the bar, but rest assured you should be quite satisfied with your meal. Try the soup and some of the meatballs while you're there. Gino's is worth the trip. You'll get a decent meal, with decent service, all at a decent price. You'll pay at or near prices to eat at the Olive Garden but will enjoy this so much more.

Great pizza. Bread is to die for. Salads good with excellent dressing. Pasta can sometimes be a little over cooked. Chicken and meat dishes all excellent.

The pizza is good enough but I was very disappointed to find out that all of their pasta (along with their calamari) is ordered in/frozen instead of homemade. I'm quite sure that their desserts are frozen too. Their bread sticks aren't very good either. They remind me of the ones they have at Little Caesar's. If not for their pizza, I would only give them 1 star.

Gino's hits the spot. A local favorite of mine, been coming here since I needed a booster seat. This is a very relaxed and causal atmosphere, they have a full bar but you should bring the whole family here with no worries. The staff is friendly and welcoming. There's 2 ways to dine here at Gino's, you can go a little bit fancy and order off their specials menu, steak, seafood etc..... or you can do what I usually do and make it a cheap night out by spiting a pizza and salad with a friend or two. The sausage Pizza is very delicious, salad and bread sticks are too. Other then that I would say the Veal or Chicken Parm is very yummy and huge, meat raviolis are also very good, the tomato sauce is great so I would guess any pasta dish would be also. I appreciate that they don't nickle and dime you for every little thing here, sure Blue Cheese dressing probably cost a bit extra but they always seem to bring out the bread sticks and a bowl or those little butter patties even though we only ordered a Med pizza and a personal salad to split. Head on in and enjoy Gino's with a glass of Lambrusco :)

I have never written a review in the 50 years that I have been around, but I felt compelled to do so here. We moved to White Lake a year and a half ago, and I have passed by Gino's a number of times. There always seemed to be a large amount of business, so I decided it was time to give it a try. I am very glad we did. We ordered pizza and breadsticks . Our servers name was Kelsey, she was exactly what you would hope for, very welcoming and up beat. She made us feel very comfortable, and took care of us smiling the entire time. The food was served quickly, and the pizza was up in the best I have had. We will without a doubt come back to try other dishes, as everything we saw looked delicious.

I have been going to ginos for over 20 years. Their breadsticks look meek but are so good and addicting that if u do t love the amazing pasta sauces u can at least eat them. The service is very friedly. They ysedto have all u can eat pasta but no more:( The vodka sauce and manacotti are amazingg. I can not believe I am the first to post. But then again ithink it's a place that older people are down with the most. That's when you KNOW it's great!!!!

Gino's is the perfect place for a group or family to go for a great sit-down dinner. My family has been hosting parties at this place for as long as I can remember, and they catered to my graduation party. We've been coming here so long we've become pretty good friends with the family that own's Gino's, and they're great people. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is nice. There are at least two private party rooms available, and a large "common" eating area as well. If you need a nice place to try something new, Gino's is the place to check out.

Gino's is a perfect example of why to avoid the "cookie-cutter" restaurants. Day or night, chances are you will be greeted by one of the Santia family. The longevity of staff is not measured in weeks but rather decades. We have yet to find a replacement for their tomato sauce and the meatballs are made fresh daily. The "Gino's Special" pizza may cost more than the franchise stores but well worth it. As an added plus, there isn't an event in the community that the family is not somehow involved.

We were looking for a good pizza. We tried here and failed. At first the place seemed great. The waitress was friendly and prompt. We ordered and then waited for the pizza. When it came out it looked ok. Not great....just ok. Nothing special. About our 2nd bite the waitress came and asked how it was. We gave the normal response of "fine". That was the last time we would see our waitress come to our table. We noticed that half of the pizza underneath was very undercooked. We tried to make eye contact with waitress to tell her. She looked at our table from a distance three times but never came to table. Then this busboy came to table and asked if we wanted a box. We told him how it was and his response was "so do you want me to box it up for you?" We asked him if he could get our waitress. We waited about 10 mins for her to come and all she did was bring bill and we tried to tell her and she did not act concerned at all. She asked why we didn't tell her sooner about pizza. WHAT??? Maybe if she hadn't been out back smoking we could have. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!!! We will not be going to Gino's "Pizzeria?" & Resaurant again!!

Great family owned restaurant. The service was great and the menu was vast enough that everybody in my family was able to find a great meal. My wife is not much of a pasta fan, but the salmon she had was delicious. Friday nights this summer they have live music outside which just added to the experience. Pizza was great as was the meat ravioli. Large servings with plenty leftover to take home.

This place is old and outdated. The food is terrible and misrepresented. My wife's Traverse city salad stated that it comes with dried cherries. They really give you dried cranberries which cost much less than cherries. In addition, the Romaine lettuce was old and wilted. I had spaghetti and meatballs, the meatballs were ok but the marinara sauce was terrible. It had an off, completely bland taste. It tasted like tomato puree with nothing else, no herbs, no garlic, no salt, terrible!!! Never again

Gino's is the BEST. The Gino's Salad and breadsticks are addictive and the baked spaghetti is terrific. I've been going to Gino's for over 20 years. I now live out of state, but every time I'm back there, I always stop in for at least one meal.

The hub and I have only been here a couple of times, and only gotten the pizza, salad and breadsticks, but those are amazing! We love Gino's! It would be great for groups, but we love it just for the two of us as well.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
